I see .

It's been my experience that if you are on at least 1080 resolution and have a 60hz refresh rate monitor a 4.7 ghz FX can maintain frame rates that are above the refresh rate of the monitor for the vast majority of games when paired with a powerful graphics card. I wouldn't be in any hurry to dump the platform because of anything said here for the sake of gaming performance.

I'd get yourself a good quality psu and see what that does for you. If in the future you do decide to upgrade/switch platforms, I certainly wouldn't use that kentec to power it. If in the future you upgrade to a 4k monitor, you'd probably be better served by adding gpu power than switching platforms.

Good luck .

i love my fx 8350, and also prefer amd. Built it less than a year ago, and wouldn't return it for 100% refund to do intel even if i could.

have had a lot of fun overclocking and pushing it to the limit. 1.5v+ and 5.0ghz+ clocks for some fun every now and then.

and as a side not, the rig in my sig can pull a little over 500w from the wall with at 4.5ghz and oc with no volt mods on the r9 380. I am sure it can pull more when i ramp it up to 5ghz but i doubt it could ever outdo my corsair rm650x psu. (with this psu i dont have the option to add another gpu later. not strong enough to crossfire or sli)

Yes i like amd too i have my pushing 5.2 ghz but freezes and when i play games i see little hickups here and their, well right now ita stable but had to disable core 7 and 8 ... but still little hickups

If you can id test your psu before jumping into it , ive just had a jump to windows 10 from windows 7 ultimate and worst mistake ive done so far , freezes its slow , certain games freeze and lock up , rolled back to windows 7 no problems. Not to mention a few people i know have ran into boot issues on windows 10 so wouldnt bw surprised if it was that.

Check installation first , run in safe mode , then go psu route , if your able to run a benchmark softwarw and its fine it ahoulsnt be psu as your still gnna use 100% usage on your gpu which will draw a ton from your psu

ok guys install a new psu corsair rm750x and pc running stable no isuues with all 8 core so far but now my power button does not work or light turn on ....any advice ???
Are you sure the case power button is hooked up to the motherboard?
If its not then thats why it does not turn on when you press the case power button

It falls out very easily take it out and put it back in and see if that helps or not.
