Unusually high temps for I76700K + Corsair H110i GT ? - Page 3

Thread Starter
Hi well it turned out better than I expected! I remouned the back plate correctly, covred up the top case hole, used gelid GC-4 paste and using OCCT the cpu was an average of 50 degrees after 10 mins full load. Never went above 54deg. That's a 20 degree improvement! Again thanks for the help and advice.

This is what the paste spread looked like when I took the cooler off, probably explains a lot of why the initial temps were so bad. it seems only a small L shape of paste seemed to have been working optimally.
