[Solved] Can anyone identify this 90° fitting? (Looking for sturdy 90° fittings)

Thread Starter
Can anyone identify the two 90° fittings attached to these Koolance QDC's? I'm looking for some sturdy 90° rotary fittings that can hold a decent amount of weight/stress. Bitspower are good but not great with weight/stress. EK and Koolance seem even worse with weight/stress.

They look a lot like XSPC maybe? If so, anyone have experience with how strong these are? I assume if DigitalStorm uses them to hold QDC's then they must be pretty tough.

Also, anyone know if those are QD3's or QD4's in the first pic? That might narrow it down if they're QD4's since they would need G1/3 Edit: They're QD3's

Those look like XSPC to me. And those are QD3s, because QD2 and QD4 aren't available in black.

Thanks, I think you're right. I found another thread here with various 90° fittings compared. The base of the rotary part looks wider/thicker than others, so hopefully it's stronger/sturdier. Too bad they don't come in black, only Nickel and Black Nickel but the accent looks nice.

Yup those are XSPC, I have a few of them and they hold stress good, they don't wiggle around a lot like others do

Perfect, just what I'm looking for. Bitspower are sturdy until they're rotated a bit (or have weight on them) then they become loose and potentially leaky. EK I've had spotty results with, some are VERY tight rotaries and some come loose from the get-go (and a recent batch I received seemed awful. Paint wasn't polished and they had brown unpainted stuff inside), and Koolance get wiggly after some use too like Bitspower but I've never seen a Koolance leak yet though their 90° are butt ugly, but great for low profile tight spaces (lowest profile 90's I've seen, and their 90+barb versions are even lower too).

No offense, but BP fittings are fine so long as you submerge them in distilled for a few seconds and rotate them to the desired direction prior tof instalation..

The problem with rotary fittings is that some believe it's okay to rotate them when the seal is dry. One should never do that. It's almost as bad as running a dry pump. Just burns out the seals imho. BP fittings can take as much weight as the ones you've got your eye on. thumb.gif

Hmm never heard of needing to get rotary fittings wet first. I now wonder if I ruined all of mine. Is everyone doing this, for real?
