I don't know whether you're being facetious, but Bioshock wasn't really my thing. Even if it was, having undefeatable mouse acceleration automatically disqualifies you from "greatest game of...".

So many games I practically wasted money on and did not play through because of this...
There was a fix, you know?...

No, i wasn't being facetious.

Perhaps you meant to quote Oubadah. I wasn't talking about BioShock, but the acceleration and input latency which are present in many games. tongue.gif

I actually played through the first BioShock game.

I apologize, then. I assumed you were including Bioshock in the list of "so many games".

i bet this is a new group and probably created by a few from 3DM

My thoughts exactly. Game quality has gone down the last 5-10 years and prices have gone up (as in: 60$ for half the game on release, an other 60$ for other half).
Publishers are screwing us over big time. I have no problem playing a fair amount of money for a decent game (like de €50 for Doom or the €20 I bought Factorio for recently, fair price and the game works, unlike most stuff on release these days.)
Most people that torrent games have no intention of buying them: simply because the game is "meh" at best or they simply don't have the money to pay for it.

I quit torrenting movies and series a while ago, just because streaming services are fairly priced and ease of use.

Publishers should learn. You can only screw over your customer to a certain extend. Go further and they quit buying it - resulting in less total profit. (The same goes for Nvidia with the recent cards btw)

Funny thing, I've noticed that recent Marvel Blu-rays have a very quick startup time, they just play previews during the main menu sequence rather than making you skip through them, which puts you into the movie very quickly and avoids spoilers from the title menu.
So there's at least one publisher out there who respects their customers. Marvel is just in the top of their class at everything right now.

I have to wonder now if there will be issues for Denuvo. I am sure the developers/publishers were sold a bit about it being uncrackable and thats why it costs so much. If there was some kind of agreement I wonder if they would have to give some money back like a refund or something. This will have to effect their sales pitch in the future I would imagine.

quite ironic indeed, quite a bit of pirates have $1000+ rigs, yet they'd rather take the cheapskate route.
i could understand if they're following some sort of philosophy though, like boycotting a dev by pirating his goods.

Great news! Made the mistake of buying Just Cause 3 only to be paused every 15 minutes to hail the mothership... may we soon play without the penalties of purchase!

If you paid $60 in the US you have paid $60 in a western country.

The illegit version is most often the superior product. Ubicrap, EA, among others kick you out or pause SINGLE player games for losing contact with the mothership.

And this crack isn't just about piracy... maybe people want to remove the crap from the game they purchased? xliveless to remove xlive wrapper, cracks to launch games w/o needing the game client running, or maybe it's the only way to get mods.
