Let's just let AMD have their glory for once, they don't have much else going for them

Athlon 64 > P4 from 2000 - 2005'ish

Been downhill ever since 2006

Not trying to smash AMD, I believe the company still has some good life left in them but gosh they're moving at a snails pace...

Need I remind you that corporations are also citizens and are subject to the "no personal attacks" clause?

But to reply... a snail's pace compared to what? intel?

Intel that has released the same 4700/4600 on two different 14nm processes with differing lithography and not actually improved over the 4770 by a single iota at stock clock and is in fact reducing stock clock speeds?

nVidia who discovered that if they spread out maxwell and didn't upgrade it they could increase the clock speed with superior heat dissipation, basically releasing the same card as two years ago for more $$ and less forward compatability?

Baikal Electronics with their 8 core ARM64 that might reach 2.0ghz?

And what has AMD done for us lately?

Release the RX 4xx series and Bulldozer.

I mean Pascal is a fine series of cards, a little expensive, but thats expected, AMD can't compete at the moment. But power reduction, more performance is nothing to decry about, especially when AMD can't at least follow suit.

Rumors say Vega is a 4096 shader part. It might be just shrinked Fury. Don't get me wrong 14 nm Fury-X 1400mhz+ would easy take on Pascal Titan, and beat it in DX 12. I was just hoping this will be RX 490 card but it seams AMD is not planning to do so.

AMD Fury and Fury X are still competing fine with the GTX 1070. The Fury X can be purchased for $399.99 and can fit in much more cases. Pascal has a DPC issue which I don't notice but it could be game dependent. I notice everyone who plays Counter Strike notices it. That is why the AMD RX 480 is outselling the GTX 1060.

You have to remember that Intel ruined AMD by unfair business practices. AMD released 64 Bit, and Multi core processors.

I would say they own the gaming market. AMD's SoCs are in both the Xbox and Playstation and announced they will be in the next gen consoles also. The created Mantle, helped with Vulkan and DirectX12. All the GPUs featuring GCN 1.0 or higher fully support DirectX 12 so people with older cards can enjoy them longer.

How did INTEL unfair business practices force AMD to release Bulldozer? AMD was no stranger to INTEL and NVIDIA market tactics but had solid performance and products before they got Conroed. Tell me again how INTEL forced AMD to release Bulldozer instead of a proper chip? Tell me again how NVIDIA forced them to release drivers with overhead greater than the pacific in DX 11.

Starving them of money helped make everything late, like a full gen late, I thought that was obvious.
