Zowie FK1 problem/question

Hi, I'm new here and I do have a question some of you might answer since i haven't seen/located an answer elesewhere.

- Bought a Zowie FK1 yesterday and when using the 800 DPI setting it is way faster than any other 800 DPI mice i curently have (about 50x). I have to lower my sens significantly in order to get the same sens i normally use. Why is this? Faulty product or are the DPI numbers higher than stated by zowie? It feels this mouse's 800 DPI setting is close to 900 or even 1k DPI instead of the proclaimed 800 DPI value.

/Thanks
Karz

Run mousetester and check it.

I did (mousetester v1.2). Dunno but it shows 121 Cpi when i move the mouse 10 cm as it says, which obviously is wrong lol

I get 772cpi with FK1+ on 800cpi and it is what I use.
Mousetester works for me fine on any mouse. You're doing something wrong if you get 121cpi or the mouse is truly faulty which should show up at many graphs and usage.

Yeah i did the test wrong or something. I measured 10 cm this time and moved the mouse slowly and then released the left mouse buttom. I got 865 cpi this time O_o. For reference i have a Qck+ fnatic edition.

Imo it's ******* horrible how Zowie can have these various DPI numbers. Your DPI value and mine have a difference of almost 100 dpi/cpi on a mouse that proclaims 800 DPI for selling point. And Zowie is german as well, which makes it even worse since german products = quality normally. I've never experienced such falsified (big varience) numbers on any mouse before. It's beyond me how these prodcuts can sell the way they do with such wrongful marketing. And as i researched some more here, i can see that others have complains about this too (since years back obviously).

Wow you buy a mouse for a certain DPI value, and you get totally screwed over by a complete other. GG. Well thanks for the help anyway guys. Will be the last time i buy a Zowie product.

So you wont buy a zowie product because there is a difference in dpi? If thats your biggest problem, you will never be satisfied with anything=D.... If you truly like the shape you wouldnt care about DPI, just change your sensitivity ingame bro.

That's correct, it's i principal more than anything just in the same way it's a principal to never buy a Razer product because of Synapse (which i haven't since abyssus v.1). You don't go out and proclaim 400, 800 or whatever DPI you sell if those values are completely wrong (varience of 100 or more. Read that some of their mice had a varience of 200+ of stated value). They should be prosecuted in the same way Vitae-pro proclaims various healing effects which has never been proved scientifically lol. If the shape was flawless i could have lived with it, but it's unfortunately not. It's a bit too low and too narrow and i got pain in my hand after just a few hours, even with clawgrip. I guess 19 cm hands are too big for FK1.

There are no mice on the market that have 800 dpi when it set to 800 dpi. There is always variance. Not a single mouse will ever equal the stated dpi, since dpi varies on many things

I have 19.5 cm hands and have no issues with the fk1 shape (maybe its too wide actually at the front)

Zowie? German? I think they are Chinese. I'm returning mine soon and try a different brand completely.
I've seen someone post 950cpi but dunno how credible it is.

I doubt any mouse has the CPI spot on unless they calibrate them which they should and don't.

So far as I can tell, Logitech is one of the few brands that gets the CPI values quite right. But I don't consider it a big issue (unless for some reason 400 dpi is suddenly 800 tongue.gif).
