TEC Question

Thread Starter
Hey everyone,

My CPU, i7 2600k, is getting a big old for the newer games so I am thinking of overclocking it. I have a watercooling method set up, but it doesn't cool enough so I am looking into using a TEC to cool it.

I have been looking for reliable TECs and am curious if you guys know if Kryotherm's products are any good? I have heard from some friends that they worked pretty well (but they didn't use them for their computers). I have found their distributor, SiTele, in the states and am curious if any of you guys have used their TECs before?

Thanks for the input!

Judging from the website, they should be good.
A good source I have used several times is CTE: http://www.customthermoelectric.com/tecs_Qcmax.html
They have Qmax 400W 62mm TEC which is good for quad core Intel CPUs.

I used a couple of Kryotherms, my only gripe with them is they use very stiff wiring and they are soldered on to little tabs that easily snap off if you try to move the wiring because it is so stiff. So if you get some, try not to handle the wires too much and make sure the wires don't have pressure on them when mounted.
