It's made by Scythe. I trust Scythe as far as I can spit upwind in a hurricane. Besides, it looks like it could have RAM and/or GPU card clearance issues.

Thread Starter
The Scythe has few reviews out and no reviews on any sites like amazon or newegg. I'm also don't think that it'll fit in with my build color scheme.

All this RAM clearance talk is doing my head in. Your RAM is 42mm above motherboard with heat spreader removed. That is 34-35mm above CPU. Fuma bottom fin is 35mm above CPU, This means fan would have to be raised up to be flush with bottom of cooler fin pack, and would stick up above fin pack by 20mm. Fuma is 53mm to front of fin pack from center of CPU, so will fit behind most RAM, but that is not taking the front fan into consideration.

As for ehume's testing I think his results are on the low temperature side of error margin, and margin of air is easlily +/-1c, possible +/-2c. In other words if you test and get a temperature reding of 27c, margin of error of+/-2c means temp could be 25c or 29c So let's say the Fuma tested otu at 27c. and NH-D15 tested at 29c, so with +/-2c the D15 could be 27c or 31c meaning they are pretty much the same with a 2c margin of air.

R1 Ultimate and R1 Universal both same base, same pipes formed to slightly different shapes, and same fin size and number with Univerasl fins being slightly farther back on the pipes.

If you don't like the R1 Universal's front fan and have room you can always get a 2nd 25mm fan and get the get the same performance as R1 Ultimate.

Whats your gripe with Scythe? I`ve had plenty of solid products from them over the years, I`ve also had bad, that can be said for many companies in my experience...I also posted a review of the cooler before, you can adjust the front fans height to fit just about any ram, and all the reviews I`ve read so far paint a pretty positive picture, its hanging with an EK Predator for far less money, whats not to like? Who gives a you know what about colour scheme with price to performance ratios like that, if I hadn`t already bought this Phanteks with 3x TY-143`s, and could get one without BS shipping fees, I`d be all over one.

Really the top cooler right now seems to be the Alpenfohn Olymp. While I haven't been able to get one yet, every deceent review site is showing it ot be 2-3c better than other top coolers.

Posting the exact same thing repetitively isn't helping. Take it for what it's worth, but it the reason I didn't respond to your first post.

I haven't used one yet, either. Even if I did, and it tested superbly, I would be wary. My experience with DeepCool units has been that they can very greatly from individual piece to individual piece. I have had 2-3 of the same model give noticeably different results in testing.
