For me and many others I know, buying an apple laptop was based on the overall package.
My 2013 rMBP is running as smooth as it did the day I bought it, running all the programs I need extremely well.
No reinstalls needed, no bloated OS over time, no weird stuff installed.
After moving from windows based laptops to my current one, I had peace and quiet I never encountered with a windows based laptop before.

My mac pro is also doing a hell of a lot of work, and it is lightning fast and a great value for money compared to compatible systems. Especially for the price I bought it for.

Yep you some it up pretty well. I personally use a Windows based laptop as I don't spend big money on laptops, I save that for desktops. But my fiancee has a MBP Retina and the thing is another level compared to 99% of laptops out there hardware-wise. Looks beautiful and is 100% silent. Screen is incredible etc.

As for your points - that is a huge plus too - M$ likes to install crap and bloatware and my laptop seems to get slower every 6 months! Plus all the bugs and viruses that are par for the course with Windows comps.

About time! I love my macbook, weighs nothing and I have a built PC for gaming so I can do pretty much all other tasks on it despite the gerbil running inside.

This is nice for AMD but it's a shame that all of the juicy Pol 11 is going to Apple a la Tonga.

I too have been face palming all morning.

Must.. suppress.. urge.. to.. correct...
