What I would have done is remove the old drivers with DDU with the old gpu still installed, then shut down system and install new gpu
and boot up and install new driver then reboot.

Thats odd because Im fairly sure nvida uses a universal driver for all cards and they have for some time now.

You have an unlocked multiplier. Overclock it. You're CPU bottlenecked at 3.4GHz with a Titan.

Enjoy your boosted framerate.

The end.

No it isn't really and even if it is it's only a few FPS.

Even if you are bottlenecking your still going to get more performance from the GC. Something else is going on.

Thanks everyone for the help, it seems most of you think I should overclock my CPU. This is my MoBo: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8P67_PRO/

I currently have an H80iGT Cooler installed. I see people saying I should go 4.5ghz etc, but that seems really high too me. wouldn't 4.0Ghz be good enough?

honestly even if you overclocked to 5Ghz you'd probably still have a cpu bottleneck.

Check cpu usgae for each core when playing. Even if the game uses one core and it is maxed out at 100% it's bottle necking.

What is your RAM running at?
Are there seriously people in this thread implying that a BOTTLENECK is the issue in a scenario, where a game which is fairly well optimised is performing this bad? A 2600k still works very well for all games on 1080p, unless its something specifically cpu-intensive. OP, are you having performance trouble in other games? Or is it this specific one?

Well my friend who has a GTX 770 sometimes gets better FPS than me in some games, and another one who has GTX 970 is the same thing.

How about actually looking at CPU and GPU usage while playing to work out if it is a bottleneck? That way you can actually know, rather than people guessing one way or the other...

If you see CPU usage at 100% on at least one core, and GPU usage fluctuating somewhere below 100%, then it is likely you have a CPU bottleneck.

If both CPU and GPU are at less than 100%, then you have a different issue.

My CPU usage is at around 40-50% in task manager

Its using all the CPU cores, not one btw.

Definitely CPU bottleneck if you're at 1080P 144hz.
