Need a KVM recommendation.

I'm in the planning stages of building a desk with dual built in computers. My aim is to have a linux machine that will eventually be my daily driver as I become more proficient with it and the other a windows machine for the things I can't do on linux. Dual booting drive me nuts. I don't want to have to restart when switching between the two and I'm not a fan of using a VM. Shortened version is I won't settle for any other option than two computers. I only want to run one monitor, mouse and KB.
I'm looking for recommendations for a switch. It appears that the smart and semi-future proof choice would be one that has display port rather than HDMI or DVI. Preferably, I'd like it to be able to switch using the keyboard but that isn't a deal breaker. One that switches audio would be nice, but that also is not a deal breaker. I'd like to keep it under $150 but could go a bit higher if needed.
I'd be grateful for some good feedback.
Thanks.

btw, at the moment I'm thinking of using Alder with a glass top (alder dents too easily).
The reason I want them built into the desk rather than two towers is that I also love wood working. This would combine these two money pit hobbies nicely.
