What would you do (maxwell Titan X and 1070)

Ok, so in debating of selling my Titan X on eBay and getting a 1070. I'm only at 1080p, and I see Titan X's selling for like $650. The way I see it, I'd be loosing 4gb of vram, but gaining newer architecture and better stock performance (I'll overclock though, of course lol). Since I have a gaming laptop with a OC'd 970m, I haven't been using my desktop much anyways, so maybe even holding off a week or two for a 1080 is a possibility. Thoughts?

At 1080p, I'm not sure I'd justify using either of those cards as most of the heavy lifting would be done by your processor. But if you still wanna know, I'd keep the TX. Overclocked, the TX should still be faster than an overclocked 1070. Sure you could pocket the change on swapping the cards, but I doubt you invested in TX with money in mind.

I was going to say pretty much what huzzug said either those cards is overkill for 1080p. My recommendation sell the Titan pickup a GTX 1060 or and RX 480 pocket difference.

Thanks for responding guys. I got the Titan because I wanted to be set GPU wise @1080p for a very long time. After thinking about it, I'm keeping it. I'm just a sucker for new tech. Considering I always use vsync @60hz as well, I wouldn't gain a damn thing going to even the newest Titan. Hopefully I'll be set at 1080p 60hz very high-max setting for a few more years
