Ultimately PS NOW could one day render consoles obsolete and be just one more client

I'm all for this. So many PS exclusives I've missed out on.

I feel that Microsoft is eventually going to make consoles into basically a series of PCs that are controlled to a base standard for development. Considering that Windows 10 might well be the last OS, and in light of MS's attempts to have games be both PC-Xbox, I feel that this is an indication of it. Sort of like Steam Machines only with the power and branding of Xbox behind it.

Now, hearing this rumor, I suspect Sony is seeing its dominance in the console market threatened and is making steps to set up a PC ecosystem for Playstation, the same Microsoft is doing.

HOLY CRAP if true.
Gonna be all over this!

Could this be a start where in the future Playstation will also be a client like Steam where we can purchase the games and play it in our PCs? Lol

Apart from that I am not into streaming game services.

A vast majority were 30fps, a lot with drops.

Judging by the hardware the consoles now use and will likely continue to use in the future... porting is rather easy. I don't care if I have to wait a year for exclusives to hit the PC. No big deal. I have hundreds of games backlogged as is rolleyes.gif

This would be pretty nice, would also be really nice if Sony would provide a proper driver for PS3 controllers to be used on the pc.
