MSI GTX 1060 Gaming 6GB only running at 4000 Mem Clock

Hey All,

today was the first day with the new MSI GTX 1060 gaming (https://us.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-GTX-1060-GAMING-6G.html#hero-overview). So far so good. It is performing well and I'm just getting used to some of the data Afterburner spits out. I have the card in the factory "OC Mode" and the core clock is as advertised on that webpage (actually higher!) Temps great and everything. However, The memory clock speed per the after burner graphs seems to be maxxing out at 4007MHZ (GPU Memory Clock). The card is supposed to run at 8000MHZ. It doesn't go up in the other modes (which are lower clocks anyways). What could be causing this? Or am I thinking of something wrong? Playing at 1080p.

It's running at 8000.

It only shows half the speed it's running at in afterburner.

Interesting. Thanks. Do we know why that is? I was wondering if it was some sort of glitch thing. I even tried enabling the GPU2 mem graph to make sure it wasn't be split between those two graphs for some silly reason...be at least this is reassuring.

Since the DDR showed up more than a decade ago, the advertized memory frequency is twice its real frequency.
