The only thing I find somewhat enticing here is that apparently Hillary Clinton is the Green Greedy Crooked Devil aka Nvidia.

AMD just had to bring the Donald into this.
Well, if they had a product worth releasing, then there wouldn't be a need for all the propaganda... right?

The state of the location doesn't matter, at all, not even a little bit. They'll get a small crew of people to clean some of the trash and debris off the floor if necessary. They'll then bring in a portable staging, portable seating along with portable lighting, video and audio equipment. They'll then hang the decor/signage, and maybe quickly slap some red paint on a few of the beams. It would take ~2 weeks tops for a competent contracting crew to set up that area.

It's not even construction. It's just home decorating on a larger scale. Really easy stuff to do that would get torn down the day after the event. AMD isn't renting some abandoned factory/warehouse to turn it into a beautiful theater, they picked it specifically for whatever aesthetic it has.

Waiting for Nvidia to counter with a 1080Ti biggrin.gif. We need some competition in the high end segment.

Upon further review, the event will be taking place at Glofo's newest cutting edge fab :-P.....
AUO sold it to Glofo.

Whatever you are saying, you are sure to be wrong.

Best case scenario you're wrong.
Worst case scenario you're even more wrong.

See how I said that with conviction an confidence? That's a good enough replacement for logic or reasoning don't you agree? What more proof could a person ask for.

Cool. AMD seem pretty confident in their Vega architecture. It will be interesting to see HBM 2.0 for the first time.

Its really had to judge what performance it will bring

we know nothing about vega basically, unless i've missed something.

As it stands now NV has no reason to release anything in between the 1080 & TXP considering there is no competition at the high end. Hell they way AMD is going it seems NV can save the fully unlocked GP102 for next year. I am beginning to believe what we might see is a 1070ti if we get any ti cards at all. I got a funny feeling Vega will just barely surpass the 1070 & NV will release a slightly less cut down GP104 as a 1070ti to "keep up with the Jones'". Don't get me wrong, I hope I am wrong & AMD unleashes a monster upon us, but I am also realistic & have seen no evidence from AMD that their GPUs or CPUs for that matter will compete at the enthusiast level again anytime soon. sad-smiley-002.gif

where were you when Nvidia mid range always equal and beating previous flagship?

GTX260 vs 8800GTX
GTX460 vs GTX280
GTX660 vs GTX580
GTX1060 vs GTX980

each and everyone of them is a die shrink.

RX480 is marketed as mainstream but it fall short of GTX980 performance, & there is no 8GB Rx480 @ $199. 8GB rx480 is priced up there near GTX1060 pricing.

Even if this is true and its a big if Vega would need to be faster than the 1080 by a good margin and cost around $499 and the cut down version $349 for them to be relevant parts. A month before the Fury X launched Nvidia dropped the 980ti for the same price, a card that clocked significantly higher and rendered the Fury X in all its HBM1 goodness null and void even before it could hit the market. A lot of review sites put the stock Fury X up against the Gigabyte G1 a card that overclocked to the heavens, it simply had no chance.

Nvidia has the 1080ti waiting in wings just to ensure history will repeat itself, which means that Amd will have to switch up their strategy this time around. It makes no sense releasing a card that has no chance of selling at volume, they might as well release something that will be competitive at $500 and hard for Nivida to match without making some serious price cuts across their entire product stack.

Just my two cents.
