this "overclockers dream" is so beaten dead its not even funny. isnt there something new that you can drag through the mud?

If I really wanted ppl to see the 1070 being better, which it objectively is,I would really try a different approach than being a pariah.

I've owned dozens of gpus, a few of ati/amd ones as well, but with the exception of r300 all ati/amd cards I had were bought just because I couldn't afford the nvidia card that I really wanted. The last thing ppl need to see how good nvidia cards are overall is your pitiful behavior.
Seriously, do you think that people who think the same way about amd cards like I think of nvidia ones are even bothered by a little green troll ?
1. Its still to prove its superiority 3.5months, 3.5days amd 3.5hours later. People are not switching to lower cards simply due to kindness in the heart for AMD. Perhaps they do not find value in entire Pascal line after what they witnessed using them due to DPC latency.
2. Objectively compared to the current Pascal lineup, a used core2Duo is better at delivering what a video card is supposed to. Besides, I feel you're not doing better than him to troll this thread. We were to talk about Vega and not how AMD is doomed because there is no competition to Nvidia with the 1080/70. They already clarified before the 480 launch that they are not targeting high end.

Anyhow, I have my doubts AMD will surpass Nvidia in this generation, they simply don`t have the funding, nor the market penetration, but...they are making strides in the right direction, and already taking back some market share, which is a good sign that they will bring more competition with the following generation.

I am hoping to see the days when Nvidia and AMD trade blows and are fearcly competitive again.

They do because they're desperate. Which doesn't make Fury cards any better by any means.

Really ? We're not supposed to mention 1070/1080 unless it's you talking about that few percent of systems that are rendered either troubled by or unusable due to dpc latency, which you automatically translate to "whole pascal lineup is unusable" lachen.gif
For a person that has had gtx 1080 for 2 months and played +200hrs is just funny how commited you are to your misconception.

Polaris's consumption was more complicated than fabrication process. GDDR5 uses up a good portion. NVidia was using GDDR5x which cuts that by 40%. 1060 has only 128-bit and sheds a significant amount of cores, it's near the same consumption as 1070.

Oh man I missed that.

plus I think nVidia's power efficiency is due to deferred rendering as well.
