Logitech G Pro Gaming Mouse announced - Page 119

Darn. Just came back from the local Fry's Electronics about 30 mins away but they did not have one on display and boxes sealed could not be opened. The open box returns were only 403's but once sealed they wouldn't let me open and try that either. So no being able to get a personal look without buying one. Going to try Best Buy next time I pass one.

Frys is 15 miles away from me. Have you seen or heard of any BB's here that have the g pro / 403? I was at tempe marketplace the other day and they don't have it. I don't think the Fiesta mall will either because a rep told me they are closing down in less than a month.

Can someone with the g403 and g pro test something for me?

First connect the 403, disconnect it, and connect the g pro. In cs go do a slow 360 moving the mouse straight to the left (stays straight). Then do a 360 to the right the same way, and your crosshair will keep moving upwards while doing the 360.

Sensor position and grip affect this.

Are you sure you are not being fooled by the sensor position (its angle) while switching between ambidextrous and ergonomic mouse? Where exactly the front-to-back axis and the left-to-right axis are on the ergo shape depends on how you hold it. The "wrong" angle can feel natural to hold because you and Logitech engineers have a different opinion about what's natural, while what's going on with the ambi shape is clear for everyone.

I've been going back and forth with my mouse inventory.

This is in regards to Overwatch and used on a Zowie G-SR & QcK Heavy.
  • Logitech G303 (Recent daily driver)
  • Logitech G403 Wired
  • Logitech G900 Wired
  • Logitech G Pro
  • Zowie ZA12
  • Zowie FK2
  • Roccat KPM (Used to be my CSGO mouse)

Reaffirmed a few things from 1st impressions:
1. My hands don't usually get sweaty and I still experience slippage issues with the side portions of the G Pro.
• Coating is no where near as nice as the G403 or Zowie in general. I loved the coating of the G403 personally.
2. Cable.
3. M1 is stiffer than M2 to click.
• G303 still feels more sensitive for both switches (I personally prefer sensitive switches, I had to get used to it/some fatigue using Zowies when I played CSGO)
4. Mouse wheel is stiff to click; however, not too big an issue for me besides daily browsing.
5. I would have loved to see how it would have felt with larger mouse feet like Zowie's or something similar to the G303 or anything larger than 4 corners.
• I will be waiting for Hyper glides and seeing how that works since I feel like this mouse has a lot of potential.
• I am also considering buying mouse grip and taping it on the sides (first experience! pretty intrigued for both "mods").

All in all, G Pro has a lot of potential--shape is great similar to G100s.

Major complaint is slippage on only the thumb and pinky areas and it just makes my hand want to sweat more if that makes sense.

I would recommend the Razer bungee or Zowie Camade for the new Logitech mice--the cables are pretty thick/braided and susceptible to kinking.

I would also recommend people to give the G403 a shot esp. to anyone who wants a slightly larger feel than the G Pro--no slippage issues, loved the buttons and mouse wheel just overall wonderful.

Only reason I'm so hung on the G Pro is that I am used to lighter/smaller mouse for my small hands so the G403 feels a tad bulkier, yet still surprisingly lightweight.

The coating, the buttons, side buttons M4/M5 are solid. Tactile and easy switches. Logitech is the only software I kind of trust (looking at your Roccat...).

I might get some flack from Zowie users; however, I liked the G403 better than my experience with the EC line-up (pre-BenQ acquisition).

G Pro is still great and gets the job done, but the G403 wowed me whereas the G Pro satisfied me.

G403 is deceptively light for a "bulkier" mouse and still can be maneuvered on the mouse pad well.

For anyone doing mods, I would love to read your thoughts on hyperglides on the G Pro and/or tennis grip tape/gun tape mods.

EDIT: Forgot to mention...the G403 I received from Amazon has significant mouse wheel rattle.

It makes a sound no matter how fast or slow you move the mouse--it's gonna rattle and it's palpable.

This apparently has been an issue for the first batches so time will tell--I've notified Amazon and they'll be sending a replacement.

Will update.

Just got home with one I got locally.

I like the shape. The scroll wheel does not rattle.

However, left mouse button is hair trigger sensitive. Right and left buttons have very different actuation force. It's really quite bad.

The dpi button is hilarious though. Touching it makes a BRRA BRRABRRA sound.

Anyway I'm glad I waited until this came out locally. I'm exchanging this mouse. Not even gonna bother plugging it in.
