Recommend a sound bar for around 300$ ?

Thread Starter
I am looking for a sound bar to go with my 65 inch UHD tv. Mostly what I want is full sound with good mid and mid highs, but some nice to have features would be a good base (and a sub woofer) and simulated surround sound.

I have plans to go up to a proper 7.1 channel surround sound some day, but today I just want something nice to stick in the entertainment center. So I am a bit turned off by sound bars that include more speakers or satellites (is that still a sound bar?).

I have heard good things about ZVOX, so I am looking at this model:

https://www.amazon.com/ZVOX-SoundBase-Subwoofer-Bluetooth-AccuVoice/dp/B00O96PD9O/ref=sr_1_1?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1471373357&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=sound+bar&refinements=p_72%3A1248879011&psc=1

But my shopping strategy is more or less "buy the one with the best average reviews". So if one of you guys know better than me, please share you recommendations smile.gif

I'd like to chime in with the sound bar that my parents have. They love it, and so do I. I think it has a GREAT sound:

Every time I hear it, it sounds to me like they have satellite speakers in the room.
