Laptop monitor not super satisfied

I tried the calibration with win10 but can't seem to get the gamma to look like the "correct" picture.
I downloaded DisplayCAL and the setting they applied looks a bit too red-ish (preferred the calibration I got with win10).

Now, I kind of wonder if the problem isn't just the screen itself.
From the DisplayCAL, I retrieved the monitor number:

Seems like this monitor might be a replacement already. The laptop is a G50-80 i7-5500u 8GB. Most of these laptop come with 720p monitor so it's possible that it was "upgraded" after screen replacement. I bought the laptop used for 320$ CAD, needed one badly for school that didn't sound like a jet. However, I prefer the old laptop's monitor more...

I've been playing a bit with the settings from the intel display software. It's pretty well made but rather hard to judge if you made a good calibration.
I managed to change the contrast that way. It still wasn't satisfied. I compared my two laptops side to side and only managed to get closer to my old laptop (dell studio 1555) monitor by adjusting the color saturation. It now feels a bit better, colors are more vivid and brighter. Still looking for better way to calibrate it. I really forgot how it looked like before but so far it seems like it is definitively better (compared to the other laptop).

The comparison was done using the same wallpaper of Mars (from the Nasa). A really gorgeous picture, but it might be a bit too dark to do the job properly.
