I know there is improvement. I am sort of saying it's going to be like Intel's new processor releases now. Maybe a tiny bit faster than previous generation, but sometimes often not enough to cause you to upgrade. I mean the camera in the 6 and 6s was the same. Faster processor, but if you aren't gaming on it there was really no reason to upgrade.

6S has improved camera, double the RAM and faster storage.

I'm pretty disappointed about iPhone 7 so far. It seems like the 7 isn't going to be a very big change from 6s and that the next big change may come next gen (10th anniversary). Read a rumour that the possible headphone jack removal could come now so that when 10th anniversary iPhone comes without it, it won't damage impressions since people will have had time to adjust and that does seem like a plausible strategy. But the 7 isn't lacking potential to still be a knockout.

If I got the iPhone 7 it would be hard for me not to get a mbp. I want the ecosystem compatibility thing. I wish MS could have made a winning mobile os.

Yeah. If anyone want to buy a iPhone is going to be next year. Depending how good S8 is, it's either that or iPhone (2017).

Really I think the s8 is more to compete with iPhone 7 as it will come in what, 6 months or so? Galaxy s phones have never lined up with my upgrades. It's 6 months old when I get a new phone so I've never gotten one.

Also interested in the nexus 7

A lot of times people ask me about my phone and we'll have a good conversation about phones in general and that's cool to me. You guys can flame me all you want but for me the number one most important aspect of a new phone is the aesthetics and Samsung is just flat out nailing the aesthetics of phones these days. Other phones that stand out to me are the iPhone 6s Plus and the HTC Ten. All of these phones have similar specs and will perform just fine in daily usage so what really sets them apart is the design and the build quality which is of utmost importance to me.

I am the opposite.

I tend to not want to be noticed out in public at all.
But people still ask me about my damn phone all the time lol
Just because it has such a large screen people always want to know what it is and how much I payed.
They loose their minds when I tell them it was $150... almost 3 years ago.

It was even worse with my Z ultra, nobody really has a 6.4 inch phone so EVERYONE asked about it, somewhat glad I dropped it lol

Move over boys, I am officially joining the Note 7 table! Picked up my new Note 7 today along with a Samsung wireless quick charger and am so excited about this phone! I had a very hard time trying to decide between the silver and the black but as you can see I went with the black in the end because the mirror finish of the silver was just way too fingerprint prone. The black shows fingerprints bad as well but not as bad as the silver. The blue was interesting but just not my preference. Anyway, I've barely even taken the thing out of the case yet so setting it up the way I like it is going to take at least an hour or so (gotta download all my apps and launchers and stuff then install them and customize). I kept my Note 5 and will be doing a short first impression and comparison of the Note 7 vs the Note 5 tomorrow for my Youtube channel so that should be fun! I'm amazed at how much smaller the Note 7 feels in my hand even with the same size screen, though I suppose the curved edges allow the Note 7 to be narrower than the flat screen Note 5 and the new phone is definitely a little thinner as well. I love the heft of the phone as it feels like a sublimely built and quality piece of craftsmanship. Is there a Note 7 Club yet? Can't wait to talk to you guys about our new phones, easily the best phones of 2016! Samsung is just on a major roll these days and the sales numbers bear this out.

*Pictures taken with my Note 5

Also guys, do NOT forget that Samsung is offering either a free watch or a 256GB micro-SD card with purchase of a Note 7 so go to their website to claim yours! wink.gif

I got the Edge free with the Note 7 purchase, and my wife upgraded from the Note 4 so it was a natural move up for her. I also wouldn't have any need for the stylus or the bigger screen. I had a Nexus 5x previously and the size of the Edge width wise is pretty close, so one handed operation is easy for me smile.gif

My father for example has a cheap phone that he paid $100 about 2 years ago and it's more then enough for him.

Anyhoo, charging the battery on the Note 7 is amazing! I think it went from 55 percent to 100 percent in about 20-30 minutes tops. I bought a case for it today but probably won't arrive until next week. I'm so anal that I wore gloves to take it out of the box and install the sim card. The plastic is still on teh phone ffs! I have issues.... lil lag here and there but nothing annoying and fast overall. I haven't used the s-pen yet or the gif feature. The iris scanner is nice but I don't think it's practical since it takes too long to get passed the lock screen. Good way to show off though wink.gif. Phone calls sound nice and clear as well. I just hope I'm not tempted by the space black iPhone 7 next month....

The one thing I surprisingly found out is it worked great in a near pitch black room with my glasses on...so I was impressed by that. However, I still use fingerprint 99% of the time.
