[AT] The Samsung Galaxy Note7 (S820) Review - Page 48

I've played around with the Gear VR in Best Buy many times and find it fascinating and very cool. That said, like DADDYDC, I doubt I would actually use it very much personally and have much more use for the 256GB microSD card I got instead. Maybe one day I'll get a GearVR just for the lulz because I think it is a very cool and inexpensive implementation of VR simply using your Galaxy phone; something to introduce you to the medium.

I already have the 256gb card, so i ordered the vr.

This. I literally have no use for a second 256GB mSD card. So...I'll take a free Gear VR any day smile.gif. It's a decent thing to have around for guests as well.

Both freebies you get with the Galaxy phones are very valuable and oft overlooked bonuses for Samsung customers. I needed a new SD card bad! Thanks Samsung!

Gear fit is probably the best gift for a basic watch replacement. Has notifications, hr monitor, bunch of different trackers. I needed a watch and the gear fit did that and some. Fitbit surge got scrapped in favor of the gear fit.

The gear fit 2 step tracker and calorie meter was so inaccurate. I'd wake up and start the day with 1000 calories burned with no steps and then be at 2000 steps an hour later. I was totally let down by that product.

Relatively accurate for me. Have you inputted your body weight, height, and age? The fit2 will take BMR into account using some anthropometric calculation (not super precision, but good enough for estimates). I've tracked my data for about 4 weeks now and it is reasonably correct (based on known values; air displacement plethysmography [bodpod] and metabolic testing [cycle ergometer]). It's also better at detecting HR at higher intensity exercise, something my fitbit surge absolutely stunk at. If you're still having major issues, I'd recommend using a different unit. It's possible you ran into a bad one. Otherwise, YMMV as with everything else in life.

Considering that some people will burn off anywhere between 600-1000 calories while sleeping, yours doesn't seem too far off.

Samsung just approved the second SD card with the Note 7 replacement, using the S7 promo. thumb.gif
