On the opposite side, I am waiting for an EC1-A+ that's wider. tongue.gif

TBH, if I were going to make 8 shells I would probably have 3 ergos, 1 around the EC1, 1 around the EC2, and then on1 larger and closer to the IME 3.0. Then a Sensei shape, a Kinzu shape, a G100s/etc. shape, and I'm not even sure what I would do with the last 2 shapes. I guess the FK1+ is similar to the sensei, but I feel like those 6 shapes already cover more ground than Zowies entire lineup. There would actually be 1 mouse larger and 2 smaller than anything they make. I might add a Kana shape which I guess would be close-ish to the FK2, but I feel like the Sensei and Kinzu were the most popular of those 3.

And considering that 99.9% of the people on this board wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a 3310 or 3360 sensor (in a blind test), Zowie really doesn't need to be in that big of a rush to change sensors anyway.

Just as the moniker "Pro Gaming" is used to market to the average consumer -- to let them know that this is premium product, that differs from the other products in their catalog -- as they wouldn't be able to tell the difference either.

I can easily tell the difference in game when using a 3366/3989 vs. a 3310. Just looking around is smoother.

Or you just flip the mouse and look at lens = profit.

Bonus: If you look at an angle and see no light coming from lens it's VCSEL. If you see a faint red light, it's IR.

I don't really think that the additional performance of the 3360 is needed, I was fine with the performance of my Zowies. If it wasn't for the shape of the G Pro actually fitting me really well AND it having better quality I would still use the FK1+ or ZA11.

I meant this is pointless because even if Zowie would announce 3360 models they'd still need to up their game in some other parts. I'm looking at the EC scroll wheel and side buttons in particular. And maybe wheels and clicks on their other models too, although those were fine for me.

There's always something else around the corner. Prob not best to get bent out of shape on sensor model.

Extra Bonus: if the illumination and detector are angled for direct reflection, it's VCSEL.
