Did a system restore now I am not getting a video signal.

Thread Starter
So I want to preface this by saying that yesterday I had some issues with my speakers not working on my computer. It seems to have been related to some USB issue that didn't work. Despite having done everything I could think of the last thing I did was do a system restore. This did not end well and I currently have no video signal when I turn on my computer. I have tried resetting CMOS. Clear it, both bioses, no video card (plugging it directly to the on board video both home and displayport. On two monitors.) and I'm stumped. I need some help, unless you think it's what I fear might be wrong. A dead motherboard or something like that. But personally that seems slightly unlikely due to the machine starting and everything turning on, fans and hdd are spinning and all.

CPU: i7 4790k
Mobo: MSI Mpower z87
GPU: MSI gtx 980 4g Twin Frozr V
PSU: Corsair AX 760
3 HDDs and 2 SSDs (not bothered listing them atm)
RAM Kingston 1600mhz 16 GB 4 sticks.
Speakers that I mentioned are the klipsch R-15PM
If you want anymore information ask

Any help is highly appreciated and sorry for the bad setup of information, I want to resolve this as fast as possible.

So yeah, you have provided essentially zero information. Could take a few stabs in the dark for you?
1. I'd bet money that it's an electrical issue. tongue.gif
2. I'd bet money that it has something to do with the motherboard, or one of the components plugged into the motherboard, or one of the other components in the system. biggrin.gif
3. I'd bet money that it is an IT/Computer related issue. tongue.gif

Anyway, you probably screwed something with the

I have this issue with my x99ws m board, when it does I have to put my kb in a ps2 adapter and use hdmi to get to windows, once that's done then I can swap it all back.Only happens if i unplug the rig.

His sig rig I am guessing.
Try reseating cables and the ram sticks and see if that makes a difference. Also, I noticed your motherboard has a debug LED, does it say anything on it when you start the PC?

I am running Windows 7 on the rig in my signature. I got a debug code on my mobo A2 but when looking it up in the manual I got nothing. And I don't know how restore a previous system state would keep my computer from sending out a video signal. I'll up date the information in the first post so people don't get confused

Another thing is that everything seems to be functioning fine but I have no way to see what to happens when I start it as I get no video signal regardless of monitor or input that I have tried. I'll try re seating cables. And report back.
