Phanteks PH-TC14PE or NH-D15 clearance with G.Skill 42 mm RAM (F4-2400C15Q-64GVR)?

As you may have guessed, my question is about ram clearance (42mm tall ram) with PH-TC14PE or NH-D15.
I am more for PH-TC14PE as white one costs 62,90€, the black one is 74,90 € (what ze frack man, 12€ paint job?). On the other hand NH-D15 costs 94,90€.
So I am wondering if PH-TC14PE will have problems with RAM as I am aiming for 16GB*4 RAM sticks. Phanteks website is not very clear about it and hence my question.
Motherboard is Gaming M5.

Cheers! :-)

Phanteks PH-TC14PE will clear your RAM no probolem.
It has about 45mm clearance from top of CPU to fins. CPU surface is 8mm above motherboard and RAM sockets raise RAM 3mm. This is 50mm from bottom of fins for for your 42mm RAM .. giving you 8mm of clearance.

But you may not have enough clearance for a 140mm fan to be mounted between top of RAM and case cover. This link explains all the measurements.

You have like 193mm CPU clearance in Enthoo Luxe. You only need 177mm for fan to fit over RAM, so no problems.thumb.gif

Great case! I use one myself .. a white one. Little hard to find in a snow storm. tongue.gif

I have been reading and lurking here a lot to finalize my system. Thank to your posts, I was able to narrow down my choices to D15 and TC14PE thumb.gif
The only thing I am missing now is power supply, CPU cooler, GPU (MSI or Sapphire RX 480 are not available in Finland or in Amazon.de) and..... time to sit for a few hours and build my rig biggrin.gif

I suggest removing the 200mm front intake fan and putting the 2 140mm fans that came with the Luxe as front intakes. The case is so well vented you do not even need exhasut fans.

Also turn the 2 bottom filters into a single filter you can slide |PSU filter out the front of case and not have to move case to clean it.

We also have a Phanteks case thread with all kinds of infor and helpful people.

Changing out that 200mm to a pair of F140SP (or similar) makes a huge difference in airflow and noise in the Luxe. Great advice, @doyll.
