I'm sorry my friends and family are so lazy for wanting to come home from 12 hours of pouring concrete, laying blacktop, and building houses and just play a videogame. Screw them #PCMasterRace! rolleyes.gif

First off, you don't need a top-of-the-line PC to play games, a 7970 3gb with an I5 will do. Hell even a £400 PC will do and it'd outpace a console. Wanna just play a game when you come in .. you mean, start the console, can't play because of a download that takes ages, go through the convoluted UI to find the game or insert the cd?

Or just turn on the PC and double-click the icon?

It wasn't so much a "PCMASTERRACE" comment as to more of the non-customiseable console that is pretty much a PC with More effort to run things you want.

Edit: Actually as my partner points out, her PC is never off and even then we've had 1 GPU upgrade in the entire 11years of 360 / ps3 generation. Whereas she constantly complains about Netflix and other services taking up the UI on the ps4 that you can't get rid of and don't want. The only difference between a PC and Console is that a PC requires some technical knowlage to either build or buy one. You can buy a 5 year old a console and they can use it.
We all know PC's -are- supirior to consoles, any argument to the contrary is just somantics, with moddable HDD's and updates to games there is little difference.

Sadly no game has been able to recreate the same setting so I try to play it anyway.

I'm like this, my partner replays games till the cows come home because she can't remember much of them. I play a game and wait 2 - 3 years before replaying. Recently gone back through Last of Us and Beyond Two Souls. Thinking about dusting my Saturn off and replaying Burning Rangers and Panzer Dragoon Saga or the entire Halo series on the 360 in cronological order. Always nice to replay games. I've said in another thread: The one thing I can really -truely- fault consoles for is their lack of retroactive compatability, I can -still- play all the original doom games, Wolfenstein, tombraider, command and conquer. If I just wanna play a 360 / ps3 game I generally can't...I've bought the game, why can't I play it again?

Agreed, My pc boots faster than an xbox one or ps4 anyways... Click the game and go. The whole "console is just plug and play" is a semi accurate at best these days. They are just prebuilt pc's. In fact most of the downside of pc based gaming are now on consoles (updates being pushed, having a OS using up more resources, etc.).

On a side note, I've been playing the original Moto Racer and Sim Tunes recently. Also got back into SimCity and a personal favorite, Sim City 4. All working fine on Windows 10,
