Are you planning to use a Pedestal with that S8?

Do you have a lot of 90 degrees bends or fittings?

if not then 1 pump is sufficient

However if you like Fast water flow then 2 pumps is recommended.

the faster the water circulates through the system, the faster the heats gets removed from the major heat factories tongue.gif (CPU / GPU / VRM )

Its going to look somwthing like this

that was another thing I'm still trying to find out if it will fit a 250 mm EK Reservoir, if I put a 360 PE on top of it.

I notice the one you have is the combined Pump + 150mm reservoir

Thats what am planning on doing, but I need to make sure that I can run everything on a single pump/res combo, or do i need to get another pump. If thats the case, am planning on using an alphacool res 150, because I have another d5 pump and mount it on the 280 radiator.

I'll either go for 2x 360 PE or 2x 360 SR2

the SR2 is nice because you can do sooooo much more work with the extra ports, it makes tubing easier, a lot easier.

but since you already have one 360 PE, might as well just pick up 1 more to pair them up.

I still can take it back to microcenter. I thought the sr2 has better performance.

It does. Especially at lower noise levels.

Looking at the pictures and your description, it appears to be a very simple "short" loop, so it don't really see much of a problem running it with only 1 D5

the major drag is always in the CPU and GPU blocks, since you are using a Straight up on the CPU block, that's already way better than people that uses 90 degrees for in/out of the CPU and GPU blocks.

On my build I'll be using straight up... well in our S8 case that will be straight right for both in/out to avoid using those 90 bends fittings.

Your 2nd CPU port can also go straight up to meet the GPU blocks and use another 90 degree fitting there.

then have it come out the Left side of the case, at which point you'll have to decide if you want it to go up to meet the radiator, or front to meet the reservoir, or down to meet the 360 rad on the side... wait, did you order the option to have the 360 rad in the left bottom compartment?

The idea is to run front the cpu straight up to the rad on top of the cpu and connect it to the 2 rad that will be on top of the gpu (thanks to the SR2 multiport), then front the 2 rad down to the gpu.
