Windows 10 Anniversary and the Dreaded Xbox Game Bar.

How can I remove it?

INB4 People posting "Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxApp | Remove-AppxPackage" or the other 379382 variations of this... It doesn't work.

I mean, it does remove the XboxApp thing from Powershell but somehow the Game Bar keeps showing up every time I open a game.

And when I used this other PowerShell command Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage it still doesn't take out the Game Bar as you can see here.

And then finally after I use this other command line "Get-AppxPackage *xbox* | Remove-AppxPackage" I get this.

And yes, I'm running PowerShell as Admin on an Admin account.

Help!

I used the registry tweak mentioned in this guide: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/8637-game-bar-turn-off-windows-10-a.html

Thank you, although that doesn't eliminate the Application, it just tells it not to start.

Is it really impossible to do it? To completely remove it I mean. Yes, I hate it that much.

I tried the powershell method at first, and when that failed I used the registry tweak.

No more Game Bar!

Just went and searched with "Open Folder Location" when suing the Game Bar, and went into the folder and changed permissions to grant my self full access into the system folders, and then eliminated the Game Bar exe itself

Done.
