[TFT Central] Samsung CF791 Ultra-wide with 100Hz VA Panel and FreeSync - Page 16

CF791 has a poor implementation of Freesync. Standard mode doesn't flicker but only works from 80-100 fps. The other mode works from 48-100 fps, but flickers, especially from 48-60 fps. In some games like Watchdogs and GTA 5, Freesync doesn't seem to work at all.

I can understand why some people stick to G-Sync. NVidia has more control over the standard because there is a seperate processor built into the monitor. You can't just slap a G-Sync sticker on the monitor and call it a day like you can with Freesync.

If you're using Steam games, you can enable an FPS counter.
In Steam, click on "Steam" at the top left, then Settings -> In-Game and look for "In-game FPS counter".

Nvidia also has a feature to show framerate using GeForce Experience, to enable it, open up the GeForce Experience Overlay (Alt-Z for me), click on the Settings icon and then go to HUD Layout -> FPS Counter and choose a position.

A link for what? That is my personal experience with Fiji. HardOCP tested the monitor with Polaris and Vega and there was no flickering with Vega.
