[TFT Central] Samsung CF791 Ultra-wide with 100Hz VA Panel and FreeSync - Page 3

The only monitor that matters to me in the Ultra-Wide market space is the upcoming LG LM375UW1 which will be a 37.5" 3840 x 1600p which has a perfect 2:4:1 aspect ratio. This is the only monitor worth upgrading from my current 34.5" 3440 x 1440p LG monitor. It was slated for production in Q3 2016 but I haven't seen any signs of it yet...

well I can think of worst options for a 24" 1080p monitor in the 400-500 price range tbh, atleast that one is somewhat exciting... I know I know... everyone wants 10k's oled monitos with FreeGsyncs and stuff( i want one too) but that's pretty far away.
Meh...

Heh believe me i'm not a first time player so it took awhile. I had honestly actually given up on it but after seeing this for $550 i thought why not, and i guess i got lucky.

After returning multiple Dell 27" G-syncs I would like just a decent monitor again with nice color and high refresh rates. Honestly I'd love to get the 24" variant with 100hz+. Right now they are at 60 :/ These 24 and 27" Samsung curves get pretty decent reviews.

Pretty sure 21:9 1440p with over 100 Hz only begin production in Q1 2017, so it'll be a while before you see any.

So gundam late.

Well, 100Hz only is a bit disappointment, but then again getting 100Hz on new games is gonna need some serious grunt.

This has the potential to be the perfect stop gap monitor until OLED monitors land in the PC world. It all depends on how this hold on in actual measurements. If the input lag is super low and the pixel transition time is superb and contrast is 4000:, this is a must buy for me.

Believe they said contrast will be 3000:1 but it can always vary. Still much better than 1000:1 regardless.
