Is it possible to wipe my hard drive where my windows currently is and then install it on a SSD? How would I go about getting my new Windows 10 key would I need a new copy of windows?

I'm trying to reuse my hard drive from a prebuilt PC into a new pc I'm building but want Windows on the SSD instead

You can use ProduKey to extract the key from your current installation. Make sure that you're fully activated to make sure the key is correct.

During windows installation from a CD or USB drive you will have the option to select a drive to install on and will also have the option to format other drives.
