I have the Vita, PSP-1000 and PSP-2000. Sony could not have gotten the Vita more wrong. Also the lack of games just killed it from the start. No Moster Hunter and for me no God of War.

Well if you look at the PSP it had a physical drive. What the hell did Vita use all the extra space for? Also the buttons are terrible compared to PSP. They are smaller and located in really bad places.

Pretty ugly IMHO, although I am not a huge fan of the original PS4 design either. Not sure what their design dept. is thinking. I think if they would've just made either model have all right angles (i.e. no slant on the front & back of the OG or no sharp corners on the slim) it would've looked 100% better. If they would've done that it wouldn't have been flashy or eye catching by any means, but much more aesthetically pleasing & much better fitting mixed in with a cable box, blu-ray player, etc. IMHO.

Personally I got lucky on the draw of my PS4, it has thankfully ran pretty quietly compared to my friends PS4s. I got mine very early in it's life cycle as well, I believe it was roughly a month after launch when I got mine & most of my friends that have a PS4 got theirs within the 1st 3 months of it being on the market. I am not the only one with a decently quiet PS4 but most of the people I know who got a PS4 near launch got ones that ramp their fans way up when gaming. My one friend bought his PS4 second hand, his unit was particularly hot & loud so we decided to see if changing the TIM would make any difference & it helped a lot. It looked like they used cheap ceramic based TIM on the PS4s as any that oozed out the sides of the APU was dried up & his did not have nearly enough TIM on it from the factory. Now instead of ramping it's fans to max as soon as any gaming load was put on the APU, it only maxs the fans out when he's playing more demanding games like Witcher 3 & it will only max them out while in the most demanding scenes. For those of you that have really loud PS4's it would be worth a shot to replace the TIM, it may fix the issue. I have thought about doing my PS4 after seeing what my friend's looked like but I figured it's best not to try to fix what's not broken.

Imo this is exactly what console devs should be aiming for. Simple, straight to the point.

There is such a thing as being practical but ugly as sin. Not everything needs fans and case lights, a lian li case is my idea of simple, practical, and still looks good. This Playstation was designed by a toddler and a few rounded megablocks.

I hope it is cheap or at least fat PS4 used will be cheap. Usually around the time I buy a console since I don't like dropping a lot of money on one. Maybe by then KH3 and The Last Guardian will finally be out.

Yeah I had a Vita. A lot of power in small package, but hardly any games for the blasted thing. Reason I sold it off and kept my 3DS instead. Good thing I bought that one used too.

For me the slim version. Tend to last longer then the fat version. Apart from the PS1 and so far the PS4. I had to buy PS2,PS3 twice. And they are still going strong.

Darn, that sure unlucky. My fat PS2 and fat PS3 are still trucking strong so far. Though, I do have slims of both too. Never bad idea to have backups.
