Gaming/Photography Hybrid Monitor

Currently have an XL2730Z, I like it, 144hz is nice, but for photos I feel the color accuracy, even calibrated, isnt up to snuff.. I also am not a huge fan of the TN panel's viewing angles sometimes... Dont get me wrong, its a lovely monitor thats served me well for the last year and the IQ is quite good. but i sometimes question the color accuracy, i also dislike that i cant really use the thing standing up and im finding it difficult to really get the thing completely centered in front of me...

Now first off, im not a pro, i dont NEED Adobe RGB support, i primarily work in sRGB.

I have a PG279Q on order, but I was thinking I'd get some second or even third options lined up, just in case you know?

Running a GTX980 Ti, Will consider 4k options as well as 1440p 144hz screens. I do calibrate with a Spyder 5. Size? At least a 27" and I do not really have the ability to run 2 screens at my desk

As for importance of 144hz? Its lovely yes, but I do find a lot of titles I run simply wont go more than 60-70fps for one reason or another (Recent titles too demanding, Older ones can be cpu bound or have engine limitations preventing it, Im running an i7-6700k at 4.635 so theres not really much i can do in that department) That said i know i dont want to go below 60fps

may i recommend this on sale. ultra wide 1440p but yes only 60hz unless you get amd for freesync(no thanks). I went from 3x 1440p 144hz gysnc and sold them because I use a rift cv1 now and just bought the lg 34uc88 once I saw that huge sale price just now. I still want the acer x34p 100hz gsync that is supposed to be coming out by christmas but can't beat $680 for a curved 1440p ultrawide.

I forgot to mention it, Tried the ultrawide thing last year and found most of the stuff i play didnt play nice with it (Forcing 16:9) I'd rather a 16:9 screen... and the curve messed with distortion correction in photos IIRC

With the problems with 144hz ips panels, I think I am going to get the dell 60hz one. U2717D http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2717d.htm
