Not at all.
I can only consider the money I spend on Star Citizen as either virtual gambling or a sort of self-serving philanthropy. That's not the kind of thing you run around recommending to random people.
If you're utterly frustrated with the state of the industry and you're already the type to gamble on Crowdfunded projects, then throwing money at Star Citizen feels therapeutic.
I should really be doing the same for Space Engineers.
Both games have their own take on the genre and Space Engineers, while much less aesthetically polished, has given me a lot of playtime over the years. I consider it to be at the forefront of technology it its own way, every time I see a ship fail in a totally dynamic way I can't help but feel like I'm looking at the future of gaming.
