Also notice that i rarely get a bsod. What happens most of the time is that the monitor goes in sleep mode, the pc keeps running and then after a while it will restart. Also the logo on the msi gpu will turn off for some reason

What kind of OC are we talking about? How much voltage etc? Because I also had that a GPU OC would sometimes just not hold a longer period.

defective 6700K lol yeah right. with such problems 90 times out of a 100 it's user error and 10 out of 100 times it's something like faulty mobo / bios / ram / other components. defective CPU maybe 1 out of a million.

Looks like a user error in my case smile.gif I dont wanna hurry but it seems like the gpu overclock was causing the system to crash during the stability test. Not sure why.Currently running OCCT for more than an hour and everything seems fine.I ll keep you guys updated if you are interested.

Currently running a stability test without the gpu, using the integrated graphics.Could this happen because of a faulty gpu?
99.999% there is something else wrong. CPU's almost never fail. I worked selling and repairing computer, and out of thousands of computers I only encountered a faulty CPU once.

With those symptoms that you described, maybe. If not then you're probably looking at mobo rather than the CPU itself
