Asus Maximus 8 Hero Alpha - Fan Control

Thread Starter
I just recently made the switch from a Gigabyte to an Asus motherboard.

I have a custom liquid loop (mostly EK parts) and on the gigabyte Mobo I was able to adjust the speed of the pump with ease (software from gigabyte or BIOS).
On the Asus mobo, I connected the pump to the water pump header and no matter what I do adjustment wise, the pump goes at 100%.

The big issue with that is that when the pump goes at too high of a speed, it causes water in my res to build up with bubbles, which then run trough the system decreasing the efficenty of the cooling.

I am on the phone with asus support but all he is doing is telling me that my loop should have come with software, which is very wrong.

Any ideas?

I have tried connecting it to other fan slots (case fan, etc) and am not even able to get a good reading.

I had a similar problem when switching from a fan controller I ended up running the ai Suite 3 fan Xpert diagnostic configuration or like your fan setup because my fans weren't even connecting properly
