Anyway to control GPU Boost's Throttling?

So I can get a stable OC of 2139Mhz on my 1060, however it throttles itself due to temperatures even though it maxes out at 63C, only way to not make it throttle is to back down the speed to 2088MHz, anyway to control or stop the throttling?

Better cooling, or mod the bios.

Not sure what ya mean but for my 1060 the core clocks start to go down due to dynamic frequency at around 61-62C.

My 1060 does the same, it's annoying.

Looking forward to when the BIOS modding tools come out.

Yeah that really sucks. In a tropical country where I live in, reaching 60C is a piece of cake.

IIRC, Keplers start to throttle at 75C, right? If that's the case, why did Nvidia lower that threshold for Pascal?

Not honestly sure, perhaps to help extend the life of pascal cards? Remember even with the low dynamic frequency the clocks we're getting with pascal are still a lot higher then with Kepler lol but yeah my card tops out at 66-67C and 2088MHz with +700MHz on the memory.

Well, from what I can see with my 1070 it seems to start at 42C-43C when the throttling starts. I hooked my 1070 with a kraken g10/x41 cooler. When I have my a/c on at 25C, max temp is only 39C and maintains my overclock. When my a/c is off ambient is 30C max temps are 42-43C and throttles my 2113mhz oc to 2100mhz. Prior to that when I had a fan with less than 1 mmh20 hooked on my radiator I was hitting 48-52C which also throttles my card even further from 2100mhz to 2088mhz.

So I guess, to control throttling you have to get better cooling. Unless someone comes up with a bios editor and disable gpu boost.

Potentially, make sure it isn't cause of power limit though as my card was "throttling" because of power target at higher clocks.

Hey guys. You said about throttling of your gtx 1070/1080. Gpuz showing then THRM or PWR perfcap yes?

Its my screen of my gigabyte 1080 xtreme, showing sometimes PWR.THRM.VREL:
