Deus Ex is not optimized for PC - Page 2

It's not running bad for me. I'm playing on high settings @1440p. Granted I'm only in Dubai at this point, but I'm seeing FPS range anywhere from 55-75 with some drops in the high 40s. I need my MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X to stop being sold out.

Game runs fine on a single TXP with msaa off and contact shadows set to on, ultra everything else. 60+ fps @ 3440x1440. Visuals and detailing are fantastic.

I got the FPS to an acceptable 60+ but the mouse movement is what's killing the game for me. Even with sensitivity at 0% and 800DPI on my DeathAdder, the amount of acceleration & jitter is insane. Clearly meant for a controller. Hopefully it gets patched.

This is a shame. I was looking forward to this game but learned from no mans sky not to buy a game on or before release. I wonder what would happen if no one bought games until everyone else did. So many games being accused of false ads now adays. The only game I'm looking forward to getting now is the ff7 remake, which has me scared since square/sony obviously has their hand in it. If I'm remember right too ff7 remake will be in episodes I just hope its not $60 for a few hours of gameplay an episode.

I haven't encountered any problems with this game yet (knock on wood) for PC (i6700k + 1060 6gig) but there is something oft-putting about the graphics. I don't quite know what it is but for some reason all of the art assets in the game seem to look like they were copy and pasted into the backgrounds in such a way that they no longer look organic. I guess it's because there are more items to pick up and interact with in this game than a typical FPS (like Doom), but some of the items look really detailed and sharp while standing (or placed next to (or on top of)) others that look blocky and blurred out.

I tried this both on an AMD card and Nvidia, it's not one or the other, it's just the way the game renders it's assets. The best way I can think to say is that it looks like someone laid a bunch of "building block" art assets inside a geometric room, but the two don't properly blend together into a consolidated whole. Does that make sense?

Also, dang if the cut scene rendered actors dont' have a spooky "Hey! Over Here! We are Marionettes!" look to them. I can't help but notice their eye, lip, facial and body movements have this very subtle jerkiness quality that makes me think of an old hand operated ventriloquist dummy.

I really loved DE: HR and I like the story so far in Mankind Divided, but there's something werid about the art rendering in the game for me (again, it's not an AMD/NVidia thing, it's present on both cards for me).

Any thoughts?

Getting 40 fps in 4k with 980 ti sli on ultra.
It´s fine with triple buffering.

Gonna buy a 980 ti for triple sli, now that they are dirt cheap and see if some magic happens.

The art design reminds me of HR but without the yellow. But I haven't played much yet. Will play more later, soon I'll have a better understanding of it. Definitely a distinct look, not the most realistic.
