What CPU voltage are you trying exactly? Try using a VRIN of 1.9-1.95v with a CPU voltage of like 1.3V at 4.5GHz. Might work fine for you.

I tried what you suggusted and with either a 1.9 or 1.95v VRIN and 1.3v at 4.5ghz I couldn't get to a windows loading screen even. It would just immediately fail and show a black screen saying the OC settings have failed.

Yeah i think it sounds like a bad one. I think we should start at 4.2-4.4. 1.3v. Keep lowing the core clock until you can boot it up properly and stress test it.

Do you think its okay if I just stress testing with gaming? I mean to me its a good test because its what I mainly do on the desktop and it seems to usually max out the CPU when im watching in CPUID. So basically to me if the temps are good and it doesnt crash while im playing its good to me.

Also right now it seems good currently set at 4.2 at 1.289V Fixed voltage. Ive had some stabilizations with adaptive but it seems to crash more when I do that actually.

For the record I have used AIDA64 and prime95 in some of my testing.

Gonna try to see how low I can set the voltage for 4.2 specifically. Couldn't even load into Windows for 4.3 at 1.3v

Asus Realbench is the best IMO out of them all. Been starting to use it ltely and it works really well.

Sometimes it won't crash in one game and crash in another. So realbench is a good stress test in result as it covers a wide range of testing.

So I used Realbench for all my tests. So far for the lowest voltages to pass a 30 min test I've gotten:

4.2ghz stable at 1.275

4.3 ghz stable at 1.346

at 1.340 4.3ghz OC failed about 15 min through test and the PC reset.
