Oh, complete forgot about Divinity Original Sin 2. Have it on kickstarter so can't wait.

BF1, dont really care about the rest.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord and a few others that were already mentioned.

I'm expecting BF1 to be just as boring as BF3 and BF4, but who knows, maybe it'll surprise me.

descending by current hype levels:

titanfall 2.first one was near perfect gameplay wise, was let down by amount content after release, hope that they will do better job in supporting the game after release by providing more content.

CIV6. they trying reinvent CIV once again. and their ideas looking promising so far.

South park: Fractured but whole. I want interactive SP episode, and it looks like it. which is good.

bf one. long time franchise fan, not impressed with what was shown so far, game doesn't represent WWI theme, using very little stuff that was actually used during that period and throwing in it dosens of experimental stuff, while mixing it with fast paced shooter mechanics. it's more of a Battlefrint in WWI decorations, which could be fun, but my expectations are at low right now.

nothing else looks promising for me.

Apparently they ruined TF2 by trying to make it more CoD-like by: making it slower paced, adding killstreaks, removing Attrition, etc. If you liked TF because it was unique, I'd set your standards extremely low for TF2 to avoid any disappointment. It's apparently nothing alike.

Just released: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Obduction.

How good is the first divinity sin in your honest opinion. I got the enhanced edition through steam sale and played about 20 minutes but have not picked it up. I am a big old school jrp guy, but am a little hesitant on playing games without visuals to push my gpus (sli 1080s atm). When I was younger (nintendo one days) I remember riding my bike to the video store every three days to rent a different nintendo --> sega genesis ---> playstation I ---> playstation II ---> my first gaming computer. The only requirement was that it was an rpg. The game looks awesome from a tactical standpoint but after going to pc I fell in love with the rinse and repeat pc games such as mass effect, darksiders, kingdoms of amalur (just one),fallout, elderscrolls back from morrowind, dragon ages and a couple shooters like crysis and far cry series. I guess my question is, can I get into divinity and really enjoy it in 2016?

It's pretty good, but not incredible due to its mediocre story and amount of role-playing compared to some of the games you listed. It's not outdated or anything, technically it is very impressive by 2016 standards. It's obviously not the last word in graphics fidelity but the art design is nice to look at if a bit repetitive, and it can be enjoyed at high refresh rate backlight strobing goodness if applicable.

The gameplay has some of the most well programmed mechanics I have ever come across, bravo to that team. And it's a ton of fun; cool character builds, good stat/leveling system by any standard, awesome abilities, incredible use of the environment and the elements (e.g. you can electrify a puddle of water and use a teleport spell to drop an enemy into it which incapacitates them, or create an oil + fire explosion combo, etc). Only Dark Messiah: Of Might and Magic uses the environment similarly well for combat. It's a decent tactical challenge. AI is still like other tactical RPGs sadly, which means it's nowhere near the likes of XCOM (I wish it was). Balance isn't great though; similarly leveled enemies will usually have way more AP than you for some reason, even if you have a character build designed around lots of AP.

TL:DR: Excellent gameplay showing some of the best gameplay programming talent I've found, pleasing visual style, doesn't hold your hand like a classic RPG, great UI, mediocre story and role-playing.
