Sapphire 7850 2GB Extra Power Connector 6Pin

Thread Starter
Hello!
First of all sorry for my english! I will try to be as detailed as i can be!
I spotted on my GPU this next to the current Power Connector (if im saying this correct)

There is a spot for another 6Pinout... i can provide more photos from the other side of the board and some more detailed routes if anyone can see something there!

I was wondering if i can plug another 6pin connector and add more voltage, if this is going to benefit with performance increase or anything like that!
Any help and advice will be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Have a nice day.

Hi there, Lizard. The holes are probably just there, because some cards might share the same PCB plate design.
The PCI-E slot on the motherboard has an output of 75W and the PCI-E 6-pin connector from the power supply gives another 75W.
Your graphics card needs less than the PCI-E connector and the cable supply and there is no point to give it even more power.

If you want better performance from your graphics card, you can purchase a better one.
A good site that I use that ranks the GPU-s by performance is the following:

I dont think the card will require more power input, unless you will do some LN2/extreme cooling OC. HD 7850 barley uses 90-100w out of 150w can deliver PCIe 6pin+PCIe Port
