Yes, 2 hours is a bit short for a game like this but 20+ ?
A dude with 72hours playtime even got a refund.

I have many 60$ games where i never been able to reach 30+hours... didnt get a refund from them either.

This hate train is even more idiotic then the hype train was.

(dont mind the MOD tag, its just my opinion and its ok to disagree with me wich i reckon most people do)
Its still a topic because the hate train hasnt reached its destination yet.
Your cool and popular when you ride that train with thousands of others you know.....
Linking same vids every hour because most cant form there own opinion.

I can not believe you are still defending the actions of Hello Games, or this release. Let alone the game itself.

Just for you: Sean Murray dissected.

What you call hate, is nothing but truth. The mere fact you see it as hate, illustrates your pedigree of gaming, or mindset as a paying consumer.

If modding really does pick up and get a good community behind it, could become a good game some day.

Three words

Alien
Colonial
Marines

Also I feel bad for Sony. They really are trying their hardest to run away from this PR nightmare.

all he had to say was this is an alpha release or early access or something.

then no complaining about lack of game play no complaining of broken monsters (like swagasaurus) no complaining about bugs and the list goes on.

but he says this is a full release what a fool.

Kinda makes you wonder why the first reviews where so high, then all of a sudden they were called "initial reviews" and their real review (after everyone is going mad) is a recantation, & are now giving it as thumbs down, etc.

Too many shill sites on the net.

Also shows that Valve is not for gamers, but to bilk gamers. As any oldschooler will tell you, No Man's Sky is nothing but a "payware", or "freeware". Where the game is free and if you like it, you can donate any amount you see fitting the game.

This is just a wake up call, what Murray did was fraudulent.

Again, this all goes back to houses like Steam, who sell no tangible products (keys) and Publishers whom think their product is worth more than $10 bucks. If no Mans was $10 and released with no fanfair and word got out... the millions who did play it would be like, remember that game, I played it for weeks endlessly. What a great game... as they moved on to other titles.

$60 games are rare. Unfortunately these publisher think everything that has their label, is worth that much. Steam discounts games all the time, because it's sales are just bidding. Finding the right price point for certain games, modulating. Steam is nearly a monopoly now... needs to be regulated.

Consumers should be able to exclude the $5 games... if we are looking for $300 AAA games.

Also, Sean Murray needs to pay for his hoax.

It's great that Steam is allowing refunds for this game without any restrictions on the number of hours played but I do agree with you that asking for a refund after playing for such a long time is just really low. If someone plays a game for 20+ hours, they obviously at least somewhat enjoyed it.

Steam are not offering refunds regardless of playtime:

(i have 29 hours although 19 of that is from me tabbing out, thinking it was closed and then going to sleep, and forgetting about it for most of the next day)

Correct, it's on the game's page for more or less 24 hours now:

For them to put up a notice like this it's probably because refund requests started pouring in - I suspect so, there was a large increase in negative reviews (25%+) from Friday to today and it's probably people writing them to then point to their negative review in the refund request as some people on Reddit advised, and Valve changed their minds about making exceptions. I would guess that it was probably being difficult to decide what is the exact number of hours required vs. reasons given in the request to notice that the game does not contain certain elements. The degree of subjectivity was probably being a bit too arbitrary, which gets out of hand when the requests start piling up.

Anyway, the game having such a notice on its page is anything but good publicity.

What you call hate, is nothing but truth. The mere fact you see it as hate, illustrates your pedigree of gaming, or mindset as a paying consumer.

Most of those things I actually saw in game. The NPC's reward different responses/attitudes based on their race, 15+ ships warp in/out with some fleets, etc etc etc. I have not seen landing on asteroids though.

Lots of this comes down to fairly vague descriptions of things and people blowing the features up to their unrealistic "perfect game" expectations.

If you ignore all of the hype, its a middling $60 game. It was entertaining for 20+ hours for many, quite a few didn't get it or didn't like it, and that is fine. The history of video games is FULL of very similar titles in-so-far as reception and pre-launch hype.
