Still more duke would be a good thing but IMHO he's abit like your old, racist, overly masculine grandad
that you just don't want to be seen with. Especially since Gearbox put all the pro-america crap into DN:F and gave him a "Man cave" an the like. Turned into the wrong nations sense of humour there.
Oh, surely, but as a 10-year old girl playing Duke Nukem for the first time it was all part of the charm. As to the pro-America stuff, I thought it more a self-referential parody than anything. I was born and mostly raised in London, high school in Australia, four years uni in the States, and finally back to the UK, and in my experience people in the UK are the only ones who take the rock, flag, and eagle stuff literally.. I mean, sure, there's a portion that do in the US, just as there's a portion of people here who think that Boris Johnson is an able statesman. But taken as a bit of self-referential sarcasm, it was funny to me.
Personally for what I'd consider truly unhealthy "pro-America crap" I think you've got to go to the modern-futuristic shooters like COD which glorify "regime change" and "targeted leadership adjustments". Those games are far more ideological than Duke Nukem with characters that are meant to be taken seriously, so far as one can take seriously the story of a COD game.
