check out reviews of this pad. it's pretty cheap for how big it is, relative to other hard pads.

as for feet, i bought some teflon sheets, they are extremely cheap.
i add double-sided tape (also cheap) and then punch 5mm circles with a (leather) puncher (also cheap). easy, fast, cheap. great.

This actually sounds good. I like the idea of buying your own teflon sheet and double side tape. It's like buying hyperglides almost for free, cause hyperglides are just teflon that are already cut out and has sticky **** on them and by that +$5 in price, right?

What I don't understand is why you punch 5 mm circles. Can't you just cut out a piece of teflon to make it fit your mouse? What's the reason for punching 5 mm holes? That just sounds like extra work.

cutting them out is an option for sure, but it just takes more time, especially if you want to chamfer them as well.
after a few sets that i had precisely cut and chamfered i was already burnt out on the thing, and then i just decided to do it the lazy way and got myself a hole puncher.
i do feel however that non-chamfered feet are garbage on cloth pad (but i don't care since i only use hard pad).

and yeah, that's why i got the sheets. monay!
hyperglides are incredibly expensive in comparison. essentially, paying for hyperglides means paying for the chamfering. tape and teflon cost absolutely nothing.

i wonder how much cheaper it actually is to do it yourself. maybe 100 times?

I'm going to love you if this works man!

Okay, first issue I ran into, how do I get the F-series 17" Rough Mouse Pad if I live in Finland? I searched on all electronic stores here but found nada.

Can I buy it from .co.uk perhaps? Do they even ship to Finland? ******* dream prices they have though only because I don't live in US: https://gyazo.com/e769632524b82e3f951ef4e89817098e

sure it works biggrin.gif

poor mr krait misses a foot.. oh wait, it costs me 0.1 cent to make a new one cowboy.gif

anyway, just check sites like ebay or aliexpress or whatever else works for you. shipping is usually cheap because they roll it up (which is not a problem for use).

edit: i recommend 0.5mm sheets

Hahaha!

What do you think about this?

It's 0.1mm thick but if I put them ON the glide pads which are currently on the mouse this should work pretty good, yea?

I can't find any other way to get the mouse pad than paying overprice and waiting weeks for shipping: http://www.ebay.com/itm/F-series-17-Rough-Mouse-Pad-/112091903116?hash=item1a1932b48c:g:7NUAAOSw3mpXNyH4

I guess it's worth the wait. Do you think these items will be good?

although not recommended, i doubt it's ever an issue (with regards to tracking performance) to add 0.1mm teflon + ~0.1mm double-sided tape on top of existing feet.
but if you go for the PTFE tape, you won't actually need the sheets.
the pad seems legit to me. too bad about the shipping date, but at least it's free

Yeah I'm used to these ****prices and shipping time because I live in Finland. Also I need to pay 25% to the customs on ALL items I buy. It's wonderful <3

I think the 0.1mm addition will be good cause I would prefer even a lower lift-off distance than I have right now on my Zowie EC1-A. smile.gif

damn, that's nasty. i (in the netherlands) pay no import tax if an item is under ~$24 or something, which is why it was nice for me that the pad was $20.
i would proxy it to you, but that would probably be even more expensive than directly. rip money
