Should I get a Alienware 17 R3 4k

that photo is my current desktop, and those three 1080 screens is pretty much what I'm trying to find a portable version of. I never plan on using it as a actual "lap" top, it probably won't even leave the house much, but I do need something I can move around the house so I watch the kids and get work done, and it would be nice to have a real powerhouse if I do go to the office.

So what I want is a large 4k screen and decent battery.

I've tried a Toshiba Satellite Radius 2-in-1 15.6 4k and a HP Spectre x360 15" 4k

Toshiba is no longer selling laptops in the US so I'm worried about support and warranty.

The HP is amazing at only 0.63" thick, but I feel like they sacrificed a lot to make it as thin as possible, like the video card is only a intel 520 that can't really handle the 4k videos I've tried to play on it.

I'm considering a Asus Zendesk Pro 15" 4k, but it's $1500 and I'm still only at 15", might as well go alienware for a few dollars more and get 17".

Also I feel like Alienware overbuilds everything, so I won't have any problems with wifi like I have with the HP or any other problems.

Also the alienware is at best buy so I can get local support and 18 month (maybe 24?) 0 percent financing

I have some questions, James. You mentioned portability yet performance at the same time.

Would you consider a $500ish tablet? Microsoft Surface Pro 4 i heard is good.

Also what about using external graphics card enclosures, like the Razer Blade Stealth/Razer Core, MSI Gaming 27XT, Alienware 13/Alienware Amplifier or Asus ROG XG Station 2?

There's also the Intel 'Skull Canyon' NUC to set up around parts of the house for home theater use. And if you're talking about going to the office, you could just buy an ultrabook.

I wouldn't recommend a gaming laptop. They're heavy and hot, which are some big dealbreakers. The purpose of laptops should be mobility. An average alienware 17 weighs 8.33 pounds and may have short battery life depending on how you use it. http://www.laptopmag.com/reviews/laptops/alienware-17 says it may last up to 6 hours, so that's one of the good merits.

Hopefully, you'll think it over. You have a lot of options to choose from.
