Same, I've hit some insane overclocks with gigabyte that they should have been able to hit. Every board I've used in my system plus all my customers for the past 10 years are all still working and never once had to RMA a Gigabyte board other than the one time that was my fault, I explained to them that it was my fault, and they still fixed my board (I paid shipping) for free a year out of warranty.
Ya sure Asus probably has the best overclocking boards, but just gander around on this forum at how terrible they've become. It's more a lottery to get a board that's stable and stays stable. If you have to use their RMA process? R.I.P.
