I also use Dynamic adaptive 1.339v for 4.5GHz. What AVX software do you use at 4.3GHz?

I just picked up a 6800k as well.

I am using 2 sticks of ddr4 3200. Hoping there is no need to populate all 4 slots.

Hey everyone, like OP I'm real newbie and a layman in these matters. I build a PC with the following specs:

CPU: Intel i7-6800k, 3.4ghz
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB(4x4) 2400Mhz
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-X99-UD3P
GPU: Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 AMP Edition
PSU: Corsair CX600 v2 PS: I also have a Corsair TX650 if it's better
Water cooler Cooler Master Seidon 120V

My question is: whats the max GHz can I overclock? I think I might go for 4.2GHz. I'm a gamer person (BF, Rainbow Six, CSGO, SWBF, GTA V, The Witcher 3, and more) but I'm also a Graphics Designer, which handle with After Effects, Photoshop and other editing tools. What do you guys recommend?

PS: The pc didn't arrive yet, but I'm already preparing myself.

You will easily overclock this to 4.2 with little increase in volts. Past 4.2 can be tricky or will require a lot of volts and some other tweaking.

Side note I have mine OC to 4.2 with 1.24 volts yours may be different.

And how do I know a good volt? I mean how can I find one properly? What will happen to my pc if the volt is not well adjusted?

Go up in small amounts with clock speed and Vcore volts until a maximum of 90c also 1.44v so you don't fry the CPU.

I'm struggling a bit with my OC, and hope someone can help me.

CPU: Intel i7-6800k, 3.4ghz (OC @ 4,2Ghz)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3200 QC 32GB (4x8)
MOBO: ASRock X99 Taichi
GPU: ATI AMD FirePro W7100
PSU: Corsair RM850i
Water cooler Cooler: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i v2
SDD: INTEL 600p Series 512GB NVMe PCIe, M.2

I'm struggling to get a stable OC at 4.2Ghz.
I have found a stable voltage for stress test without any issues, at 4,0 / 4,2 / 4,4Ghz.
But they all fail, after the stress test is finished and the systems is idle for a period of time.
They even fail when i don't stress test, but just use the compluter for 7-8 hours and let it stay idle over night.

Currently I have the VCORE at 1,366, and multipler at 42x100Mhz.

I see that many people are able to OC this to 4,2Ghz at much lover voltages, so i'm thinking that it's probably something else.
Does anyone have "the soluition" for this? =)

PS: I have updated all drivers, and run ccleaner.
