You can get 20% off on the Rival 100 and 700 on Amazon. At least until September 9th.

I play at 2 sens 800 cpi. I've heard that the G100s has a low PCS, which makes me lean toward the Rival 100 since I'm sick of my crappy mouse malfunctioning all the time whenever I do quick swipes. Does the better-performing sensor of the G100s compensate over its low PCS?

2 sens at 800 DPI seems pretty fast to me. I have both G100s and Rival 100. After using for couple months my Rival 100 I switched to G100s and my sens is 1.505 @500DPI which is around 55cm per 360 and I have not hit malfunction speed on G100s. Sure you can make both of them malfunction if you really try, but never happened to me in game. So I highly doubt you'd be able to make either of these mice malfunction with your current sensitivity.

With that sens you probably don't need even half the malfunction speed of the G100s... what mouse are you using now?

A4Tech OP-720 (lol)

I tried mousetester once in a DM and I hit 2.9 m/s only once in that game.

Well you're not gonna do 360's in a competitive match and snap all over the place with 2.9 m/s and with your sens. So I think you'd be good. Also that A4Tech OP-720 looks actually pretty comfortable.

I enjoy the shape of the Rival, tried the g100s and it was too small for me (20cm hands)

Should I install the Logitech Gaming Software when I buy this mouse?

Well, it has no onboard memory and can't be set to 1000Hz. The default 1000 DPI was fine for my purposes when I used it.

I've heard that installing the software makes the mouse feel interpolated.
