Hello Guys , I want to upgrade my 2 x R9 390´s because I ordered 4k monitor @ 60fps and it will come this week. Now the problem is that I am not sure if R9 390´s xfire will be able to handle games in 4k q60 fps and 2nd cards are using 300 watt TDP each so I desided to either go for 2 x GTX 1070´s or one GTX 1080 for 1080 gamming and to reduce my electric bill :)My heart wana go for GTX 1070´s SLi because I think 1070 SLi beats 1080 and uses 150 watt (300 watt SLi) so I can save like 300 watt as my current 2 x r9 390´s using 600 watt together. My CPU is i7 3930 k @ 4.3 GHz water cooled. The monitor which I orderd is : http://www.iiyama.com/gl_en/products/prolite-x4071uhsu-b1/

I am playing on 1080 monitor using 2 x r9 390´s because I am dump idiot and now I saved enough money to change my monitor and GPU together. Please help me guys.

I would honestly go with a single 1080 and overclock it as high as possible.

If I had a to choose between my 2 x 980 Ti's (basically a 1070 with less vram), I would rather run a single 1080 Hybrid from Evga in my case, or custom water cooled EVEN better.

what about 2 x RX 480´s ? can they run games on 4k @ 60fps ?????
An RX 480 is slower than a GTX 1060, so I would not even bother imo, especially for 4k res.

275W TDP per card. And Fury crossfire is great. I run two 3840 shader cards. Works wonders.

If you want to go AMD hold for Vega and it will have HBM2 and GCN4 architecture

depends on the games for most of games 4GB is fine but for some recent games it can be hitting close to 4GB so reducing image/texture settings/quality can help with performance

bu cardst with HBM2 will have at least 8-16GB and 1TB/s Bandwidth
