New mini itx build complete!

My wife and I banded together to build our first mitx PC. It was actually a very easy case to build in and I think it looks pretty good.

Specs:
i5 6400 w/ evo212
8 GB HyperX
Gigabyte H170 core WIFI
Zotac GTX 1070 amp
EVGA Supernova 550W
240 GB Kingston V400 SSD
1 TB Seagate HDD
Fractal design core 500

I know the CPU clock speed is a bit low, but at high resolutions I don't think it will be a bottleneck. Also I made airflow supergood to keep it turbo boosting the entire time it's needed. Also, will likely upgrade to 16 GB RAM in the future.

Thoughts?

Damn, if only my girlfriend liked building PC's.... rolleyes.gif

But on to actual subject; the 1070 is more than capable of handling 1080p gaming @ 60FPS, even 1440p if that's your style tongue.gif and the i5 isn't going to be a bottleneck. 2.7Ghz may seem slow, but you need very little Ghz nowadays for PC gaming. biggrin.gif

All in all, very good build all around. thumb.gif

Awesome PC considering its size.
Also bumping up the memory to 16gb will give you a couple more frames in some games such as Witcher 3, fallout 4 and games of the sort.

Thanks, good to hear about the clock speed. I owned an overclocked 4690k before but decided I wanted to dedicate more of my next build's budget to GPU power.

I can't say my wife's favorite pass time is building PC's, but I convinced her to give it a try. She did quite well and came in very handy when I needed small hands, lol.
