There is no scaling with 40" 4K. Same PPI as 1440p 27.

10-bit colour is supported by way of 8-bits per subpixel plus 2-bit FRC dithering
This is enough for me to say: NO THANKS, either 10 real bits or no need
And at least 120 Hz !!! 4k @ 60 Hz is past thing.

Dithering doesn't happen unless your hardware supports 10 bit. The extra 2 bit with FRC being there makes no difference.

Are you suggesting there is no difference in quality between 8-bit plus dithering, and 10-bit pure signals? Perhaps it is not noticeable to some, but HDR wouldn't be a thing if people couldn't tell the difference to some extent. Personally, I wouldn't want to buy another monitor until HDR is implemented. I want to keep my monitor for years.

It seems they want you to buy monitors like GPUs.

Anyone know when this monitor will be release? At the moment I've a LG 34UM95 and I love it but it will be nice to have a 40' 4K Monitor for movies and maybe some games. I keep my eyes on this one and the 37.5' with 3440x1600 with panel from LG. It will be so nice if both monitors are 100+hz....too bad it isn't
